Our Free Dinner To Cure Cancer in Soddy-Daisy Tennessee was one of our best meals to date! An inconspicuous exterior suggests just another Italian Restaurant.  The restaurant and people inside are special. Authentic d├ęcor makes this small Tennessee restaurant a slice of Tuscany, a delicious slice where you least expect it. Mustard yellow splashed painted walls were decorated with paintings of countryside Italian villas. Elaborate bottles filled with exotic ingredients lined windowsills.  Pictures of the Coliseum and leaning Tower of Pisa completed the ambiance.

Anne, the owner, came over to chat and take our order. Martin ordered a delectable chicken Parmesan with salad. Jeremy settled on a succulent Tilapia. I received a liberal serving of fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and hearty potato soup. The gourmet quality of food was astounding. A restaurant we could have easily driven right by captured our hearts. We knew the food was probably great when three tables of regular locals filed in dinner.

Ana and her Chef Giuseppe, her husband, cook eggplant rollatini, Chicken Francese, Bruschetta, gnocchi and Chicken Picata among other Italian dishes. This little roadside cottage rivals high-end Italian eateries! After we cleared our plates, Ana told us about meeting her husband on a cruise to Italy. She was a passenger. He was a fabulous cook and amour happened. Years of marriage, a son, a big move to Tennessee, and the biggest challenge of all - opening Flavors of Italy Italian restaurant created a close knit family and an amazing restaurant. Chef Giuseppe was born near Salerno, Italy and perfecting his craft over decades. We met him and he was proud to let us know that he believed in using only quality ingredients from his herb and vegetable garden. He also uses imported olive oil, quality fresh hand-picked cheeses, and meats fresh from the market. If you are ever in Soddy-Daisy or need some quality catering in the Chattanooga area, Flavor of Italy is a must!
